Innovatation Awards for Merseyside businesses

The search for Merseyside’s most innovative companies has once again begun with the launch of the annual Merseyside Innovation Awards. The awards, aim to recognise and reward the use of innovation as a means of boosting growth and profitability.

This year’s winner was Liverpool-based wildlife charity Landlife Group, which has developed a soil inversion technique to increase biodiversity. It secured a £10,000 cash prize plus £4,000 worth of legal, business, accounting or design consultancy; support from some of the region’s leading business advisers; and publicity for the idea.

The search for the 2010 winner will start on 24 January at Liverpool Science Park where early contenders for the award, plus previous winners, will be in attendance.
